Remember when our forefathers left Egypt and went into the wilderness? In Ex.20:16 they stood at Mt. Sinai and there they heard for the first time the sounding of the Shofar. This made them afraid. So much that they did not want YHVH to speak to them. They wanted Moses to tell them what was expected of them.

Fortunately for us, these instructions were written down and now generations later we too are hearing the instructions along with the sounding of the Shofar. To most of us it's as if when we heard it for the very first time we knew deep within us we had heard it before! Could it be that this is a genetic memory that was passed down through the generations?

Now in this time let not this generation be afraid of the sound. We must take hold of it and sound it ourselves. To announce of pending danger as the Watchman in Ezk.33 or to assemble YHVH's people as in Num.10.

The Shofar is a prayer without words. Through the sound, you express what on your heart.

So sound with us on Shofars Around the World. We have the same heart. In unity many Shofars will sound as one! A Great Blast in the Heavenlies.

Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. PS.102:13

Welcome everyone, we give you thanks for joining in on the celebration of remembering the Holy One of Israel on HIS Rosh Chodesh which is the New Moon each month. Each new moon starts the biblical Hebrew new month. Check your calendar for dates.

Blessings to you all.

Blessed are you Lord, our God, King of the universe whose word created the heavens, whose breath created all that they contain. Statutes and seasons He set for them, that they should not deviate from their assigned task. Happily, gladly they do the will of their Creator, whose work is dependable. To the moon He spoke: renew yourself, Crown of Glory for those who were born in the womb, who are destined to be renewed and to extol their creator for His glorious sovereignty. Blessed are you, Lord who renews the months. In Yeshua, Amein

May the Holy One bless the New Moon for us and for all His people, the house of Israel with life and peace, joy and gladness, deliverance and consolation. In Yeshua, Amein

Shofars were used in the wilderness to convey commands for camping, moving, congregating, and war. They were also used to commerce the invoking of prayers to God especially intercessory prayers for healing and protection from evil.

For Tziyon's sake I will not be silent,
for Yerushalayim's sake I will not rest,
until her vindication shines out brightly
and her salvation like a blazing torch.

We thank you for joining us.

Here are different Shofar blasts according to tradition:

  1. Tekiah--one long, straight blast - The sound of the Kings coronation. And now the shofar proclaims to ourselves and to the world: God is our King!
  2. Shevarim--three medium, wailing sounds - The blasts is the sobbing cry of one's heart yearning to connect, to grow, to achieve.
  3. Teruah--10 quick blasts in short succession - The 10 quick blasts in short succession resembles an alarm clock, arousing us from our spiritual slumber. The shofar brings clarity, alertness, and focus.
